Serrano's Mexican Restaurant, located in East Glacier, Montana, specializes in dishes from Mexico and the southwest. They use only the freshest and healthiest ingredients available to prepare their meals.
The restaurant is one of the oldest structures in the Glacier National Park area. Originally constructed in 1909 by mountaineer and explorer Tom Dawson, it was used to provide housing for workers constructing Glacier Park Lodge and the area's railroad depot. In the 1920s and 1930s, the building became the Log Cabin Inn. The current owners purchased the property in 1990, remodeling it to create Serrano's Mexican Restaurant (as well as The Backpackers Inn).
Serrano's Mexican Restaurant serves dinner and late night meals. Vegetarian friendly meals are avaialable.
When visiting Serrano's be sure to try their Enchilada Especial: Layers of chicken, jack cheese, and blue corn tortilla, served with beans and rice. Also, check out their Huachinango ala Veracruzana: Sauteed red snapper in a sauce of tomatoes, onions, green olives, chiles and capers.
